My Adventure To Portugal

Recently I was off on my travels to Alvor in Portugal for a wedding. A group of us were staying at Luna Alvor Bay and I was really impressed! I was in room 602 and this was the view from my balcony!

The balcony was really long, so I could also see right over the marina…

…and over Alvor too!

We chucked our bags in our rooms and headed out for a meal with the bride and groom to be at L’Angolo then for drinks at Mourisco, which is a great bar for cocktails.

The next day I caught some serious sun (a bit too much as you can see) wandering around town and checking out the marina, then it was time to get dolled up and hit the town with the girls! We had a delicious meal at Adega D’Alvor followed by cocktails and dancing at Bar Havana.

On Tuesday I had a day by the pool to sort out my red front/white back scenario and in the evening we all went to a lovely restaurant called Lusitania, which has flowers hanging from the ceiling and great food.

Wednesday was the big day, so I headed to Mel & Canela for brunch followed by a delicious Snickers and Ferrero Rocher double ice cream cone.

The wedding was in the afternoon so there was plenty of time to get ready and head to the church, which was beautiful.

The whole day was wonderful! As we all walked through the cobbled streets after the service, the locals looked out of their windows and doors as we passed. It all felt very Mamma Mia!

After the wedding a few of us hit the town and headed to the Sports Cafe for cocktails and dancing!

As you can imagine, the following day was for relaxing, so I headed to the beach with my friend and her little girls and we splashed about in the sea, made sandcastles and ate ice cream!

In the evening we all went out to Navegador, which was the first meal that I’d had in Alvor that I wasn’t that impressed with.

The rest of the holiday was taken up with relaxing at the beach, eating out, walking around town, shopping etc.

If you ever find yourself in Portugal, you could also try out Don Toro steak restaurant in Alvor, and Aqua shopping centre in Portimão, where there’s a lot of great shops including Parfois, Loja Do Gato Preto and Primark!

This place is seriously beautiful!
