Cocktail Making & New Menu Munching At Revolution Aberdeen

I don’t get out much these days with having Sorsha, being pregnant and (what feels like) spending all my time working and sleeping but I love hanging out with my Aberdeen blogger pals, so when Julia organised a bloggers lunch I was very excited!

Revolution in Aberdeen is one of those places that I always went on a night out, when I used to go on nights out! I like the atmosphere and the cocktails and they have a great decked area for those warm summer days and nights. They’ve had a bit of an overhaul of late and it looks fantastic!

First up was cocktail making, mocktails for me, but it was great fun! We were taken to a separate bar where we all took turns to make a drink from the menu and I really wish I could have tasted some of the boozy ones. Anything blue or topped with sweets and I’m in! The menu has loads of choice and although I usually only go for fruity ones there are so many I’d like to try. My mocktail was a delicious mango, strawberry and lime concoction so I can’t complain!

After cocktail making we were taken to what once was a half-indoor, half-outdoor space but is now a completely enclosed, bright, airy restaurant with the ability to open right up with retractable sections for when the sunshine hits! They’ve done a great job of keeping the views and light but making the space more flexible.

Now, prepare yourself for some good looking food pics…

Blackened chicken burgers, breaded king prawns, macphilly cheese steak sandwich, flatbread with houmous, buttermilk fried chicken strips, margherita pizza, halloumi wrap, calimari and sweet potato fries were only some of the delicious new menu dishes that we tried! Halloumi wraps were my favourite though, they were sooo good! I washed it all down with a Superfruit Nojito which was just the fruitiest, most delicious mocktail yet!

I had such a great time, the atmosphere was perfect for our girl’s weekend afternoon outing and I would definitely come back, in fact, I’ll be back in July for a cocktail masterclass with meal for my sister’s birthday!
