Bag A Virtual Munro With Cairngorms National Park

As a family we walk in the Cairngorms regularly, especially over the summer months and we definitely miss a good hike in the Angus Glens as they’re right on our doorstep!

Cairngorms National Park have come up with a great way to encourage us to put our daily exercise to good use, by asking us to bag a virtual Munro. Just choose a summit from those listed, or add your own, it doesn’t even need to be in the Cairngorms!

We’ve chosen to bag Ben Macdui, the highest peak in the Cairngorms, and the second highest in Scotland, which will take us 1 hour a day for 3 days. Once we’re done we can complete some more!

It’s a great accessible way to hit a target and encourage us all to get out more, albeit without the rough terrain and beautiful view from the top! It’s good practice for the real thing though!
