The start of a new year is a great time to plan your travel for the year ahead.

Our first trip of the year has been a bit of a secret mission. 2022 may be the 30th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, but 2023 is the 30th anniversary of my first visit, so we decided it would be the perfect time to take the family.
Keeping it a secret was tough, and the girls seemed a bit overwhelmed when they opened their new Disney backpacks to find a t-shirt, cap and “golden ticket”.
We’re going in March for a few days, so if you have any tips let us know!
The next trip we have booked is for our fifth wedding anniversary. When we got married we decided that we’d have a holiday at least every five years, just the two of us. We’ve been lucky to have had a few small breaks in our first few years of marriage which have been great, and I’ll always be ready to book more of those!

This anniversary we’re going on a European cities trip. We fly to Prague, then visit Vienna and Budapest, spending a couple of days in each city and traveling by train in between.
I love traveling by train and I’m hoping it’ll give us a chance to relax between busy visits to each destination. We have our bed and breakfast booked for each day so we can start each day full of food and ready to go!
We definitely have some planning to do but I love this kind of trip and and can’t wait to explore the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, three countries neither of have visited before.
That’s all we have planned so far, however we’d love to book some time away in another part of Scotland in summer and my weekly cheap flights posts always inspire me to book short trips in between big holidays.
What are you travel plans this year?
